WHAT IS CORGI BEACH DAY?

Corgi Beach Day is a pet-centric, family-friendly festival that welcomes corgis and #honorarycorgis, (all dogs are welcome at Corgi Beach Day) and is the biggest breed specific event and largest gathering of corgis in the world! Founded in October 2012, the first Corgi Beach Day started with just 15 corgis and rapidly grew to thousands of corgis and thousands of pet-loving attendees at each event- along with local, national and worldwide media coverage.

THE NEXT CORGI BEACH DAY IS:
FALL CORGI BEACH DAY - SATURDAY OCTOBER 25th, 2025! Corgi Beach Day happens twice yearly, Spring and Fall.

ALL DOGS (#honorarycorgis) AND HUMANS WELCOME.

As we celebrate our 13th year, we are working on some significant plans for this next event. BIG NEWS: CORGI BEACH DAY has GROWN!  Yes, we're delighted to let you know that we've moved to a NEW LOCATION, just 2 blocks south of the Huntington Beach Pier, with even MORE SPACE and 3000 parking spots! YES PARKING!

With the addition of more space, we’re planning a number of exciting updates in store for Corgi Beach Day, including: brand new contests & events in the main arena all day long, themed interactive-style pet & owner experiences, #selfie stations, new food trucks, QBSDR’S Corgi Rescue and Education Village, and of course, our “Corgi Marketplace”, featuring a curated selection of over 40+special vendors that have something for every corgi and pet lover!

HOW DID CORGI BEACH DAY BEGIN? 13 years ago, Corgi Beach Day started with a little idea that turned into something HUGE!!!

Mr. Pickles was just a young pup of a few years old and had gone through a series of surgeries on his knee for a torn CCL which ended up with a horrible MRSA infection that he brought home from the vets office. By time he had recovered about a year later, we thought "Wouldn't it be to meet some local corgi people at the beach for a casual day at HB Dog Beach?". Back then, it was really just Facebook- no IG, no TikTok...well we threw a FB invite out and had 15 corgis and their humans show up that day. We made sandwiches and had name tags for everyone. We took a small group photo. We had a great time with new friends! So, we scheduled another one 3 months later and 100 people showed up...next one, 500+ people, then 1000+ and soon it was over thousands and thousands! Friendships have been made, (we've even had 5 marriage proposals take place at Corgi Beach Day!) Over the years, we've added vendors, merch, contests, activities, food trucks and it's grown to what you see today....#thebiggestcorgipartyontheplanet !!

Corgi Beach Day is ALWAYS free to attend and is guaranteed to be a fun-filled day with something for everyone!

WHAT IS CORGI NATIONALS?

CORGI RACES! Corgi Nationals is our newest event, started in 2018 at the historic Santa Anita Park Racetrack in Arcadia, CA. It’s like Corgi Beach Day…a festival event with vendors, activities, food, drink and CORGIS EVERYWHERE….but at the RACE TRACK! Corgi Nationals quickly became a hit- and is now the most attended festival event at Santa Anita Park and the largest Corgi Racing Festival in the world!
Just like Corgi Beach Day, this corgi-friendly event features our vendor village, food trucks, fun activities and photo ops, giveaways and of course, THE MAIN EVENT, CORGI RACES…ALL DAY. LONG, with the semi-finals and finals taking place right on the big track! The event has grown so much, we’ve recently added another date and now hold TWO Corgi Nationals events per year in SoCal at Santa Anita Park- Corgi Winter Nationals, which takes place every Sunday of Presidents Day weekend and Summer Corgi Nationals, taking place every Sunday of Memorial Day weekend

We have 4 main events per year:

2026 Winter Corgi Nationals at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA- Sunday February 15th, 2026- Memorial Day Weekend

Corgi Beach Day is proud to have partnered since 2013 with a local corgi and corgi mix rescue, Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue.  Queen's Best, or QBSDR, has helped rescue over 157 dogs since they began in 2013, along with providing training, education and knowledge to the corgi community about responsible corgi ownership.
So Cal Corgi Nation is proud to donate a portion of their proceeds to QBSDR, aiding them to continue to "save low riders, one bark at the time!"

WHAT IS CORGI NATION VACATION?

Corgi Nation Vacation is a multi-day, corgi-filled coastal getaway in beautiful Pismo Beach, California, created especially for corgi lovers looking to combine sunshine, community, and the ultimate dog-friendly travel experience! 🌊🐾

Launched in 2024, this event was designed as a more intimate, extended weekend celebration for the corgi community. It includes a full schedule of thoughtfully planned activities, social events, and of course, the main event—Pismo Corgi Fest—held right on the beach in front of the Vespera Resort.

Corgi Nation Vacation isn’t just a day—it’s a true vacation experience, allowing attendees to relax, explore, and bond with fellow corgi fans across multiple days. With a mix of public and VIP-only experiences, there's something for everyone—whether you're soaking up the sun with your pup or sipping wine at one of our exclusive seaside gatherings.
